The Final
For this month’s assignment, I completed my business plan culminating 12 months of intense work. At the beginning of this class, I had a sense of confidence that all I had learned would come together. It did, the months of research and exploration wove themselves together into a real business plan. It took me on a journey of some intense classes including entertainment business law, finance, and even marketing. The assignment to create an elevator pitch puts us in a real world scenario which ensures proper preparation.
At times I wondered if the hours of reading were to punish us, but in the end it all made sense! I now have a tangible skill set for life that can be applied to any board room or start up venture. I said it on one of our discussion boards but feel it's worth mentioning here. They say it takes 10,000 hours for you to become a master of any craft, I’m humbled that my 10,000 hours culminates with a Master’s in Entertainment Business! Because of this course, and all the one’s before it, I now feel comfortable and equipped with all that is needed to consider myself a Professional. This is no longer practice. I have graduated to the major leagues. I look forward to the next chapter! Thank you, to every professor, student, and staff that played a part in making me a better version of myself!
